The doctors Nicolas Lopez and Garcia Escriva participate in a book about multiple sclerosis.

The neurologists at the hospital IMED Levante took part in a scientific publication that collects clinical cases on spasticity in multiple sclerosis.


Under the title "The use of cannabinoids in the treatment of spasticity secondary to cervical myelopathy", the IMED Levante doctors
presented a case frame of a patient of 46 years where the treatment has been used with satisfactory results.

Remember that multiple sclerosis is a neurodegenerative disease that it is frequent in the adult population, with more than 40,000 cases have been Spain.

One of the most restrictive
symptoms the neurologists have found in these patients is the spasticity, which is more than 50% of the cases.
Spasticity affects decisively the mobility of arms and legs, but also with regard to other symptoms which the patients affected have very negative impact on their quality of life.
